Beginner Violin for Grade 2-6

This is a continuation class for TERM 1 students

Term 2 2020

Students will follow the Suzuki method for beginner violin. The first course will include the following content:
-knowledge of the instrument
-proper posture
-finger placement
-bowing and fingering exercises

Please note that while you will learn to read music, this course uses incidental note reading as students familiarize themselves with finger placement and bowing rhythm. Just as one learns to speak a language before reading it, we will focus on musicality, playing skill and memory before relying too heavily on being able to name the notes.

Student violins will be available for use with a $50 damage deposit, paid by cheque which will be returned at the end of the term.
