Violin for Children (Grade 2-7) PRIVATE LESSON (30 min)

Private 30 min violin lesson for children in grades 2-7

Students will follow the Suzuki method for beginner violin. Each private lesson will be tailored the student’s need, but beginner will cover:

•Knowledge of the instrument
•Proper posture
•Finger placement
•Bowing and fingering exercises

Please note that while you will learn to read music, this course uses incidental note reading as students familiarize themselves with finger placement and bowing rhythm. Just as one learns to speak a language before reading it, we will focus on musicality, playing skill and memory before relying too heavily on being able to name the notes.

Violins are provided for a term rental of $25. Additional book and CD fee of $35.
